Attention Facility Owner/Operator:
In your state the Department of Health will be assisting the Consumer Product Safety Commission in verifying compliance regarding the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has the authority to close commercial pools or spas found to be noncompliant and may also assess criminal penalties, including fines or imprisonment, under section 21 of the Consumer Product Safety Act (Act) 15 U.S.C. 2070(a).
The Department of Health will notify the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding commercial facilities that fail to comply. For those facilities that are not in compliance, Johnson Pools would like to offer our services to the Facility Owner/Operator to avoid any such penalties.
